The last days of summer in to autumn invites us to slow down and reflect on the passing seasons, the gentle moments, and a melancholic retrospect on the end of summer.
Harvest season
This is the season of abundance, a time to savor the fruits of my summer’s work in the garden—picking berries and gathering fruit to store for winter. Though there’s a bittersweetness in these final days, I relish the warmth that lingers through late August. Soon, summer’s heat will fade, and winter will draw near. The air grows cooler, leaves take on a golden hue, and the light softens as summer’s bright, endless days come to a close. It feels as though the sun, too, is preparing to rest.
The season’s shift is both melancholy and sweet, with just a few golden days left before the lush green of summer gives way to autumn’s quieter tones. September begins nature’s gentle wind-down, a golden farewell to summer’s vitality.
Watching wild life outside my window
All summer, I’ve loved watching the deer from my window—a family of two, sometimes just one—peacefully grazing or resting outside my home office. Their quiet presence has been a beautiful part of my days.
The end of summer – Interlude is a calming cinematic visual journey through my final days of summer, as summer fades and turning to autumn.
Hope you enjoy!
